The unit deployed to Afghanistan in January 2011 to support coalition forces by serving as the battalion headquarters of five subordinate companies responsible for various construction projects throughout Kandahar and the country's southern provinces.
Speakers at the event included Gov. John Lynch, US Sen.Jeanne Sheheen, Brig. Gen. David Puster, Commander of the 302nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, the higher headquarters of the 368 Engineer Battalion, and Lt. Col. Gregory Scott the battalion's commander.
