Sgt. Yadira Valle, a San Juan PR native, one of the two females in the unit, sent a quick message to her parents.

"I will not be able to be with you during this special season, however, you know that I love you very much", said Valle who is a Financial Noncommissioned Officer.

The 389th Finance Detachment is the most recent unit mobilized from the US Army Reserve-Puerto Rico. The largest Reserve Command in the Caribbean has mobilized approximately 5,000 troops in support of the War Against Terrorism.
