REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- Fresh off of a successful fiscal year closeout, the Army Contracting Command's Resource Management Directorate is conducting a training workshop here this week to ensure everyone remains on the same sheet of music.
"The purpose of the workshop is to conduct training to support the resource managers in the field," said Belinda Gemme, director, ACC resource management. "The training is on certain systems we use, on how we are going to conduct and execute the POM (program objective memorandum), and how we will address special budget instructions and reporting requirements that are new this year."
Gemme said there will also be a recap of lessons learned from conducting the recent fiscal year 2011 closeout.
"We've done these workshops at the beginning of the fiscal year repeatedly ever since we first stood up so that we can ensure we are all on the right path at the very start," she said. "We
also try to do a video teleconference around the middle of the fiscal year to make sure things are
on track."
