ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Army Sustainment Command hosted a golf tourney Sept. 15 at Rock Island Arsenal's golf course. The ASC Commander's Cup Golf Scramble allowed Department of the Army civilians and Soldiers to team up and play a full round of golf.

The event concluded with an awards presentation to first, second and third place teams, as well as to the winners of the golf skills challenges, which were placed randomly on the course.

First place went to Team LOGCAP (Logistics Civil Augmentation Program), consisting of Raymond Buck, Mike Albrey, Don Champigny and Steven Reece. Second place went to team "We Own the $$ (ASC G8)," consisting of Jerry De La Cruz, Ron Washam, Matthew Helms, and Rose Barnet. Third place went to team "Eclectic," consisting of Maj. Charles Thorbjornsen, Master Sgt. David Medley, Lt. Col. John Wyrwas and Larry Goodnight. The winners of the golf skills challenges were Matthew Helms for longest Putt, Capt. Casey Lasley for closest to the hole, Steve Kogutkiewicz for men's longest drive and Rose Barnet for women's longest drive.
