Col. Garry W. Lunsford was promoted to colonel in the U.S. Air Force on Aug. 19, 2011 in a promotion ceremony hosted by Maj. Gen. Michael S. Linnington, commander of Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region/U.S. Army Military District of Washington. Col.
