MOLINE, Ill. - The U.S. Army Sustainment Command Small Business Office participated in a "Chance to Meet...Rock Island Arsenal" event on March 15 at the Deere Harvester Community Credit Union.
The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce and St. Ambrose University sponsored the event that provides an opportunity for vendors to learn how to do business with the Rock Island Arsenal.
Diane Wheeler, Small Business Specialist, U.S. Army Sustainment Command and Joint Munitions Command, Jackie Hixon, Small Business Specialist, U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Command and Doug Davis, Deputy for Small Business Programs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District were guest speakers at this month's event.
Each organization addressed the potential for area businesses to compete for goods and services required at the various Rock Island Arsenal commands. Millions of dollars are awarded each year to both small and large businesses throughout the Quad Cities area community.
