PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, Calif. - A handful of service members from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center spent the last few days volunteering on the courses for this week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Golf Tournament, formerly named the Bing Crosby Clambake, which is Feb. 7 - 13.

The tournament is rich in history and tradition and continues to be one of the most popular events on the Monterey Peninsula.

One of the more popular events of the week is the 3-M Celebrity Challenge on Feb. 9, with such celebrities as funnyman Bill Murray, actor Kevin Costner and musician Darius Rucker.

Also, the men and women who serve this country in the armed forces and their families are invited as guests of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for military appreciation day. Free tickets are limited to a total of two per person.
