Newton and his fellow LARs are members of Army Sustainment Command's Logistics Assistance Program, which matches experienced experts to forces in the field. By mentoring, teaching and assisting troops in the field, LARs ensure materiel readiness and provide warfighters with a link to the Materiel Enterprise.
