The Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region Force Protection Division (J/G-34) wants to remind the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, Civilians, Families, and Contractors of the JFHQ NCR/MDW Family to continuously maintain awareness and be on guard against terrorist threats during the upcoming holiday season.
According to recent Department of the Army information there is currently
Aca,!A"no intelligence indicating specific terrorist plans to conduct attacks
during the 2010 holiday season - which extends through the New Year."
However, recent events and current threat reporting streams make it clear
that many terrorist groups remain interested in conducting attacks against
the U.S. homeland and may attempt to carry out an attack during the holiday
season in order to capitalize on the cultural significance of such an
event.Aca,!A?
As an Antiterrorism (AT) reminder, the current AT awareness theme is
"Personal Protection," which includes the following key points: Maintaining
Vigilance, Don't Be a Target, Individual Response to an Attack, How to
Report Suspicious Activity, and Travelers' Awareness.
Report any suspicious activity through local iWatch Army channels. Everyone
needs to remember Aca,!" Aca,!A"If you see something, say something.Aca,!A?
