ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Rock Island, Ill. - Enrollment at the U.S. Army Health Clinic, Rock Island Arsenal was expanded to include military retirees and retiree family members as of June 15, which will enable this new group to enroll in TRICARE Prime.

TRICARE Prime is a Health Maintenance Organization style plan. Under TRICARE Prime, beneficiaries must choose a Primary Care Manager and obtain referrals and authorizations for specialty care. . There is an annual enrollment fee for TRICARE Prime for military retirees and their family members. There is no enrollment fee for active duty military and their family members.

The PCM at the Arsenal is Dr. Jeffrey Jauron.

"The TRICARE Prime enrollment thru Rock Island Arsenal will save you out of pocket expense as there is a not a fee for PCM services in the RIA Clinic," said Col. Ronald Place, commander, U.S. Army Medical Department Activities, Ft. Knox and Ireland Army Community Hospital. "Other TRICARE out of pocket expense will remain in effect, this includes enrollment fees, network co-payments and others."

If eligible individuals are interested in changing their current network PCM to the Rock Island Arsenal, please contact Judith Green, the benefits counselor and assistant coordinator.
