BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Rick Campbell, a pilot in Task Force Knighthawk, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, TF Falcon, from Niles, Ohio, received a Combat Action Badge at Bagram Airfield, June 26.
"We were all up there for different events," said Chief Warrant Officer Campbell. "I and six others were given the CAB for being engaged and engaging the enemy during an air assault, March 27."
Chief Warrant Officer Campbell was one of 24 Soldiers to receive the CAB.
"Day in and day out, you give it your best, and you never quit, and I'm proud of you," said Col. Don Galli, commander of the 3rd CAB, TF Falcon, from Havertown, Pa. "Being a general support battalion isn't an easy job. We ask a lot from you, and when you deliver, we ask for even more. You're making a difference here for the Afghan people. You're making a difference for our fighting forces and for one another. You guys work together to make the impossible look easy, and I am honored to be working with you."
