FORT HOOD, Texas - As the sun beat down on a beautiful morning at Guidon Field, Capt. Ted Zagraniski passed the Ammo Dawg's guidon to Capt. Tishaun Wilson, the company's new commander.

The 664th Ordnance Company, known as the Ammo Dogs, said farewell to Zagraniski, the outgoing commander, and welcomed Wilson as their new commander in a change of command ceremony Apr. 21 at Guidon Field.

Lt. Col. Matt Melvin, commander of the 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, detailed the accomplishments of the unit while Zagraniski was in command.

"In December 2009, you brought the 664 back from a 12-month deployment to Iraq," he said. "And your reputation says it all. The Ammo Dawgs have been commended by many departments and organizations."

Melvin also offered words of welcome and advice to Wilson.

"Enjoy the fast lane because it is fast," he said. "It is truly an experience of a lifetime. The Ammo Dawgs are really professionals and they deserve the best. They will not fail you and I know you will not fail them."

Zagraniski said his farewells to the Ammo Dawgs and expressed his appreciation for their hard work. He said that working with them was one of his many blessings in life.

"Even if I had my pick of all the units on Fort Hood, I could never pick a better command," Zagraniski said. "I just want to say thank you to everyone who has provided me with guidance and assistance."

Wilson, who will be working with Operation Clean Sweep, thanked the company for the opportunity to lead them.

"I'm proud to serve with each and every one of you," he said. "I promise to provide you with tough, realistic training and uncompromised leadership. I will to always lead from the front, and I just want to say once again, thank you."
