BERMUDA -- The United States Army Drill Team traveled to Bermuda Sunday in support of the Bermuda Tattoo 2009. The Tattoo is part of a celebration commemorating its 400th anniversary.

The Drill Team landed on Sunday and was welcomed by the Bermuda Regiment. Members of the Drill Team are staying at Warwick Camp and are able to rehearse throughout the day.

Monday brought to the Drill Team a rehearsal at the Bermuda Maritime Museum, the sight of the Tattoo. Despite the heavy rain, the Soldiers were able to perform a full run through of their routine. Later that night, the Soldiers rehearsed with the full cast at Warwick Camp. The Drill Team is one of the only performances not based around music and quickly adapted to marching in step during the march on.

On Tuesday, the Soldiers of the Drill Team performed at the Berkeley Institute in front of roughly 200 students. The students were extremely excited and posed for photographs following the performance. Cpt. Ryan Boeka, commander of the Drill Team presented the school with an autographed poster and Drill Team cap.

Following the performance Tuesday, the Drill team saw two of its members reenlist in the Army. Sgt. Dustin Koch and Cpl. Miroslab Majermik reenlisted and both with stay on with the Drill Team until next August.
