“As we bid farewell we also look ahead,” Mozer said. “It is an honor to welcome (incoming Garrison) Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy Diaz, his wife Karen and his children to White Sands.”
Mozer said Diaz brings with him ample experience, the right leadership qualities, and the right values to help lead WSMR into the future. Diaz comes to WSMR from Fort Sill, Okla.
Taking the podium, Latore welcomed guests and family members to the ceremony.
“My time with this Garrison has truly been a blessing,” Latore said. “I’ve learned so much from each and every one of you and I am incredibly thankful.”
Diaz thanked the Garrison Command team and the WSMR community for their warm welcome.
“I’m really looking forward to working with you and building friendships,” Diaz said. “The best thing about this place is the people, everyone has been very professional and welcoming.”
