Col. Gregory Holmes and Command Sgt. Maj. Douglas Jones, the U.S. Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization command team, signed a proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month at the SATMO Headquarters at Fort Bragg, North Carolina April 14.
Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month is an opportunity for Soldiers and Army civilians to take time to listen, learn, and understand what constitutes inappropriate behavior. It also serves as a time to refresh members on the different reporting options and resources available for victims and update members on new Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program regulations such as the recent expansion of reporting options for Army Civilians and new tools for supervisors to create positive work environments.
Every member of the Army Team plays a vital role in cultivating dignity and respect within its ranks.
