Wheeler Army Airfield, HI – The Army Contracting Command (ACC) is modernizing its contracting processes with the new Army Contracting Writing System (ACWS), replacing the legacy Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2). A dedicated team at the Regional Contracting Office – Hawaii (RCO-HI) is leading the charge and even extending support to colleagues.
Contract Specialists Andrew Pool and Renee Fletcher volunteered to become ACWS experts and spearheaded the migration of hundreds of contracts. Recognizing a need, they proactively extended training and guidance to the Regional Contracting Office – Alaska (RCO-AK), fostering efficiency across the 413th Contracting Support Brigade.
Their phased approach ensures timely and quality migration, with regular updates provided to RCO-HI Chief Lorenzo Lopez, who praised their dedication as crucial to the entire brigade’s success.
“The new Army Contract Writing system is proving to be an asset,” stated Ms. Fletcher, highlighting the system’s potential for increased efficiency and improved accuracy. The team is actively supporting the workforce through one-on-one guidance and issue resolution, ensuring a smooth transition to this vital modernization effort.
