In preparation for their upcoming Army Cyber Command Best Squad Competition, Soldiers of the 11th Cyber Battalion got some serious hands-on trauma training while building a partnership with medical professionals from Doctors Hospital of Augusta, Ga. The training, designed to enhance battlefield medical skills, walked Soldiers step by step through the Expert Soldier, Expert Infantryman, and Expert Field Medical Badge training, reinforcing life-saving techniques that are crucial in combat scenarios.

The event featured state-of-the-art medical training aids, including CPR dummies that provided real-time feedback, and high-fidelity stop-the-bleed mannequins that demonstrated the precise amount of pressure required to control hemorrhaging. Soldiers received critiques and hands-on corrections from both military trainers and civilian medical staff, ensuring they developed muscle memory and confidence in applying these critical skills under stress.

The collaboration between the battalion and medical professionals underscores the importance of realistic medical training in preparing Soldiers for real-world emergencies. By incorporating feedback-driven simulations and expert instruction, the 11th Cyber Battalion is ensuring its teams are technically proficient in their cyber mission and tactically ready to respond to medical emergencies on and off the battlefield. The group included Chris Ruiz, Spc. Oscar Gonazales, Spc. Elias Brooks, Sgt. Spencer Buckwalter, Staff Sgt. Kevin O'Neill, and Paul Aenchbacher.

With the Best Squad Competition approaching, this training reinforces the unit’s commitment to excellence, resilience, and readiness -- ensuring that when the time comes, every Soldier is prepared to save a life.
