City warns citizens of inclement weather

Freezing precipitation is expected to appear in Poznań in the afternoon.

Road workers from the Municipal Roads Authority are constantly monitoring weather forecasts and road conditions. If necessary, they will take preventive measures to prevent the formation of black ice - inform city officials. - Despite this, it is worth preparing for difficult weather conditions. Drivers should remember to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and exercise special caution at pedestrian crossings - explains the Poznań City Hall.

If there is black ice, it may also be slippery on the sidewalks, so pedestrians should also take care of their safety. Slippery surfaces can be particularly dangerous for seniors. If possible, it is better for them to move with the assistance of loved ones - he appeals.

According to the forecast of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, freezing precipitation may occur almost all over the country on Tuesday and Wednesday. Second-degree warnings have been issued. - Weak, at times moderate, freezing rain or drizzle are forecast, causing black ice - we read. In the case of Poznań and counties located north of our city, the warning is valid until 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday. In counties located south of Poznań, freezing precipitation may occur from 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday to 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday.

KLM airlines add more flights to and from Poznan airport

From March 30, we will fly from Poznań to Amsterdam twice a day with KLM.

The Dutch airline KLM launched the Poznań-Amsterdam route in 2020. The planes fly from Ławica to Schiphol Airport. - From March 30, 2025, passengers will have two flights a day at their disposal. Doubling the number of flights on this route in a favorable timetable opens up the full offer of KLM connections via the base airport in Amsterdam to 5 continents for residents of Poznań and Wielkopolska - the airline informs.

We will fly from Poznań to Amsterdam every day at 6:30 a.m., and 2:15 p.m., and from Amsterdam to Poznań at 12:10 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. The flight takes less than 2 hours. Passengers will travel on board an Embraer E175 aircraft. - Morning flights will allow passengers from Poznań to access the entire KLM network, including intercontinental flights, with a convenient transfer in Amsterdam. In addition, thanks to the advantageous flight times, travelers will be able to plan a weekend in Amsterdam or one-day business trips to the Netherlands more effectively - they add.

What is more due to ongoing renovation Poznań airport is reporting on the situation on social media. " The modernization of the airport is entering a critical moment of changes in the Central Security Control Zone and the related process of relocating security control devices, " we read.

"Due to this fact, from January 9, 2025, we ask that passengers arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the planned departure! " - added.

Airport representatives assure that they will make every effort to ensure that the ongoing reconstruction affects service as little as possible.

Open registration for Mudness Run in Lake Malta

As reported by the organizers, the date of the "Mudness Run Bieg Po Dnie Jeziora" event, which was originally scheduled for February 8, has been changed. " Due to changes in the area of ​​cleaning work on Lake Malta and preparation of the route, the final date for the race is March 1, 2025," it was reported.

The race route is the northern shore of Lake Malta. Competitors will cover a distance of approx. 4,200 meters on asphalt and the bottom of the lake. "Each competitor is subject to a limit of 1.5 hours to cover the route. A competitor who does not fit into the limit is obliged to return their starting number upon the judge's order," it was reported.

The entry fee is PLN 190 online and is valid until February 10. After that, it is PLN 250 and can only be paid on the day of the event at the race office.

Last year's edition of Next Fest Music Showcase & Conference was 3 days during which 132 concerts, 17 panels and workshops, 10 accompanying events and 17 afterparties took place in 25 locations.

This year, as always, the festival center will be located in the Zamek Culture Centre, one of the most important cultural venues in the city. This is where journalists, artists, publishers, concert organizers and, of course, fans will discuss music during the day. In the evenings, several dozen stages scattered around the city within walking distance will be taken over by artists to compete for the ears, hearts and emotions of the audience.
