ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. - 1SG Matthew B. Reed relinquished his responsibility as the Garrison HHC First Sergeant to MSG Jamika Y. Williams on Thursday at the Post Theater.

Reed is retiring after 20 years of faithful service to our country. He is staying local, transitioning to the civilian sector. He is a tremendous leader, Soldier and individual who truly embodies the Army Values.

While reflecting upon his time as the Garrison HHC First Sgt. Reed said, "This is the most humbling and rewarding position I've had."

Williams is a Lakewood, CA native, but is no stranger to APG. Her previous assignment was MEDCOM, Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic. She brings added value to the Garrison.

This ceremony marks a transition in leadership and symbolizes the continuity and strength of USAGAPG.
