U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) Internship Program Manager Patricia Conley spoke AWC Career Expo attendees about the benefits of participating in both summer and year-round internships being offered at YPG, such as its Smart Scholarship and Army Fellow programs.
Students, recent graduates, and job seekers had an opportunity on October 18 to learn about some of the careers and internship programs available at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) during Arizona Western College’s Fall 2023 Transfer and Career Expo.
The event was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 3C breezeway on the AWC campus and featured representatives from 53 organizations and colleges, including Rachael Sanchez, the chief of YPG's Employment and Human Capital Division.
Sanchez, joined by YPG Internship Program Manager Patricia Conley, said they spoke with many of those in attendance about the benefits of participating in both summer and year-round internships being offered at YPG, such as its Smart Scholarship and Army Fellow programs.
“The turnout has been great,” Sanchez said. “It has been really good opportunity to tell people about the careers available at YPG.”
Hoping to find qualified candidates, they also spoke to job seekers about several current open engineering positions at YPG.
