REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – Army Materiel Command has recognized 10 employees for outstanding accomplishments contributing to AMC’s mission and goals as 2022 Louis Dellamonica Award recipients.

Each year, the Louis Dellamonica Award for Outstanding AMC Personnel of the Year is awarded to both military and civilian employees below the rank of general officer and Senior Executive Service level, who meet the established criteria.

“In addition to recognizing hard work and outstanding performance, these employees embody our Army Values and are the foundation of AMC’s success,” said Maj. Gen. Walt Duzzny, AMC chief of staff, sharing an announcement message of the award winners.

Nominees are judged on how their initiatives measurably improve their work environment and U.S. Army Materiel Command’s mission, how they motivate and inspire fellow employees to improve or increase the quality of their own work and how well they are viewed by peers, subordinates and supervisors.

The Dellamonica Award winners represent AMC and its major subordinate commands:

·        Brian Beall – Headquarters, Army Materiel Command

·        Tildon Allen – Aviation and Missile Command

·        Don Anderson – Chemical Materials Activity

·        Timothy Shamka – Communications-Electronics Command

·        Jeffrey Howell – Army Joint Munitions Command

·        Brian Wozniak – Tank-automotive and Armaments Command

·        Sgt. 1st Class Lenise Pilcher – Army Contracting Command

The award is named in honor of Louis Dellamonica, a general engineer whose 65-year career at Hawthorne Army Depot, Nevada, exemplified integrity, innovation, leadership and outstanding dedication to Army Materiel Command's mission.

The winners will be formally recognized at an awards presentation ceremony here at a later date.
