REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – Five Army Materiel Command organizations were named among the best in the Army Chief of Staff Logistics Excellence Awards for maintenance in Fiscal Year 2022 as announced by the Army in July.

The Army Award for Maintenance Excellence covered several categories. Winning in the Tables of Distribution and Allowances category was Army Field Support Battalion-Korea at Camp Humphreys, Korea, while the runner up was AFSB-Carson’s Installation Maintenance Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. Both fall under the U.S. Army Sustainment Command.

In the Depot category, Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, California, earned top honors and Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, was named runner up. Sierra Army Depot is part of the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, while the Tobyhanna facility is a U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command asset.

For the All Others category, the runner up was the TACOM-Fleet Management Expansion at Fort Lee, Virginia.

The Army Chief of Staff awards message congratulated all winners for significantly improving the Army’s overall readiness posture: “It articulates what we must do to win – winning matters.”

Ragin, AMC Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics and Operations. “The Chief of Staff of the Army Logistics Excellence Awards Program winners are delivering the necessary readiness to provide options in support of Army Senior Leader priorities. We are extremely proud of these Soldiers, leaders, and dedicated professionals. Their tireless efforts embody the Warrior Ethos and a willingness to sacrifice to sustain excellence while enabling the Army and its role in fighting and winning the nation's wars."
