What Makes This Cadet Stand Out From Their Peers?

Cadet Aidan Welsh is an integral part of the Paul Revere Battalion. As part of the ranger challenge team, he took on extra training to prepare for the 2nd Brigade Ranger Challenge event in October.

In addition to being an outstanding Army ROTC Cadet, Welsh was a major contributor to the Tuft University men’s soccer team, which won the Division III NCAA Championship for the second year in a row. In the championship game, he took two shots and provided an assist in Tufts’ 2-0 victory over Amherst College.

Cadet Welsh currently holds a 3.8 GPA at Tufts University as a Cognitive Brain Science Major and is on track to be selected for the Tufts University School of Medicine’s Early Admission Program. He is also a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and is a middle school math tutor.

My aim is to serve as a doctor in the United States Army. In so doing, I hope to embody the values of selfless sacrifice that my parents have long inspired in me. During my time in ROTC and my experience with physicians, I have come to realize that this is an important way to live a life of sacrificial care for my fellow human beings.
