The Qualified Recycle Branch held its annual Recycle Customer Appreciation Day at the Fort Knox Recycle Center April 25.
The event included a tour of the facility, multiple games for the kids, a chalk drawing of 'Earth' in the parking lot for the kids to fill in, bubble machines, recycle mascots that played with the kids and foodstuffs.
Event organizers said the annual celebration is an opportunity to highlight relationships between the Recycle Center and the patrons who recycle to encourage the community to keep reusable material out of landfills.
