Ansbach, Germany - U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach hosted their fourth Total Army Sponsorship Program Rodeo (TASP) at the Katterbach Fitness Center, April 17, 2019.

The focus of TASP is to provide the necessary information to unit and garrison members to become effective sponsors for newly arriving Soldiers, Army Professionals and their families.

Col. Steven M. Pierce, USAG Ansbach Commander, welcomed the initial group of some 60 potential sponsors from the 5th of the 4th Air Defense Artillery and the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.

Pierce pointed out that newcomers should receive nothing less than the best sponsorship, so they can settle with ease into their new community here.

The 13 different stations at the Sponsorship Rodeo were staffed with subject-matter experts from the In- and Out-Processing Center, Army Community Services, Child and Youth Services, the Regional Health Command, Tricare, Housing Office, the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, as well as from experts of Ramstein's Gateway and Reception and U.S. Army Europe's Personnel staff.

The Army-wide TASP is helping garrisons and units prepare new Soldiers and Army Professionals, as well as their families for their arrival at a duty station, welcoming and helping them integrate into a new community.
