FORT BUCHANAN, Puerto Rico, - Recently Fort Buchanan was visited by Installation Management Command, Southeast Region, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Johnathan Henry. Henry's visit encompassed a very busy schedule that included training for Fort Buchanan green belts and future GB candidates, process observations, individual mentoring sessions and a meeting with our leadership.
Some of you may have not heard about Lean Six Sigma, which is an industry proven, customer driven, and statistically measurable method of creating efficiencies.
By using LSS, business processes are streamlined and this helps the installation make the best use of resources; provide more consistent quality and cost effective services.
Fort Buchanan has nine trained green belts; six of them are currently working on projects to improve operations.

With these projects and some others that are being formulated, Fort Buchanan aims to improve delivery of services for our Soldiers, Army civilians, retirees, and families.
