Easter Sunday is April 1, but you don't have to wait that long to start your celebration, thanks to activities planned on Fort Leonard Wood.

The installation's annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled Saturday at Gammon Field.

Held by Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the venue will open at 9 a.m. with a variety of activities, including musical entertainment, face painting, a balloon artist and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

The Easter Egg Hunt is free and open to children ages 12 and younger.

No strollers will be allowed in the egg hunt, and no pets are allowed at the event.

In case of rain, the makeup date is March 31.

-- The Flashlight Egg Hunt, held by the Exceptional Family Member Program, is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday inside the Army Community Service building. The event is free and open to the public; however, participants must have a family member enrolled in the EFMP, which provides services and support to military family members with special medical or educational needs. The event will include about an hour of activities, including music for children with autism in observance of Autism Awareness Month, followed by the egg hunt from 6:30 to 7 p.m. For more information, contact the EFMP program at 573.596.0212.

-- Easter Brunch at Pershing Community Center is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1. Featuring a meal and visits from the Easter Bunny, seating times are every 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m., with the last seating scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $16.95 for adults and children ages 12 and older; $8.50 for children ages 4 to 11 and free for children ages 3 and younger. Reservations are recommended by calling 573.329.2455.
