The 96th Transportation Company (TC), 553D Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (553D CSSB), 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade (1CDSB) provides HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter) support to 2nd Battalion, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment (2/7/ Cav), 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team (3rd ABCT) by transporting M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks to Fort Bliss, Texas March 21.

The 96th TC displays confidence and an unsurpassed technical proficiency in tactical transportation.

With more than 1000 missions completed over the last five months the 96th TC is undeniably living up to its recognition as the National Defense Transportation Association 2017 Transportation Unit of the Year.

"We are moving 15 armored battle tanks using 19 HETS to support a post mobilization training exercise that will be conducted over the next few months at Fort Bliss," said 2nd Lt. Cierra Goodman, transportation platoon leader, 96th TC, 553D CSSB, 1CDSB.

The 2/7 Cav, 3ABCT will be providing training to their partner brigade, the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team (155th ABCT), a National Guard unit home stationed in Mississippi, in preparation for the 155th ABCT deployment to Kuwait this spring.
