CHIÈVRES, Belgium -- First Sergeant Natalee C. Simms took responsibility as the First Sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company at U.S. Army Garrison Benelux during a ceremony Feb. 5 at the Caserne Daumerie Chapel in Belgium.
Capt. Curtis Radoff, company commander, highlighted the great work and dedication of Master Sgt. Shauna Richardson serving as the Brussels provost sergeant and the first sergeant for the last few months.
During the ceremony, Richardson passed the company guidon to Radoff who himself handed the guidon to Simms, demonstrating his confidence in her being the backbone of the company.
Simms recently arrived from the Pentagon where she was the supply NCO for the Joint Improvised-Threat Defense Agency. "HHC Benelux has a history of great leadership, and I will continue that history as the first sergeant," Simms said.
