When the Pilgrims celebrated their first harvest in the new land, they had many reasons to be grateful. Now, almost 400 years later, American citizens enjoy a freedom unmatched by any other country in the world today, a freedom protected by the brave men and women in uniform who selflessly serve our country all around the world. While gathering with family and friends on this holiday, let us take a moment to give thanks to our Soldiers and DA civilians who continue to put their lives on the line to preserve the precious freedoms we hold so dear.

Personal injuries from sports, physical fitness, privately owned vehicles (POV) and motorcycle mishaps continue to be the most significant trends developing among our ranks. We must continually identify hazards in our activities and implement mitigating factors for ourselves, our family members and our Soldiers, so as to hamper these preventable incidents. As members of the 8th TSC team, we must work together relentlessly to reverse these trends before we lose one of our most valuable assets!

In preparation for the holiday, CSM Binford and I entrust every member of team TSC to do his or her part in protecting the force. We hope you fully enjoy the Thanksgiving festivities and we expect to bring every member of our team back from the holiday ready to accomplish the mission.

Have a safe and enjoyable holiday! "Army Safe is Army Strong."

SUSTAIN THE FORCE!
