Fort Leonard Wood celebrated the U.S. Army's 241st birthday with time-honored and fun activities on Tuesday.
Events included a division-style run, fireworks, golf tournament, cake-cutting, streamer ceremony and Twilight Tattoo by the 399th Army Band.
A symbolic 241-mile birthday run began Sunday with Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors and civilian runners completing 10-mile-continuous loops until Tuesday.
Maj. Gen. Kent Savre, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general, led the division-style run for the final three miles, starting at Gammon Field.
