ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md (June 10, 2016) -- From June 13-24, the Communications-Electronics Command will host the worldwide communications exercise called JUICE (Joint User Interoperability Communications Exercise.

JUICE brings together the joint services, coalition partners, Department of Defense (DoD) groups, and key U.S. government and federal agencies in an effort to test and train tactics, techniques and procedures that will lead to improved interoperability and synchronization during real-world scenarios.

JUICE historically includes network planning, systems integration, network operations and cyber defense operations to identify lessons learned for improvements to existing operational capabilities. The exercise also seeks to address operational gaps identified by deployed units, coalition partners, DoD working groups, governmental agencies and first responders.

This year's key emphasis is to integrate Combatant Command (COCOMS) near-term objectives into the JUICE network resources. A key line of effort will center on a Mission Partner Environment (MPE) and exchange of command and control data between mission partners.

The Software Engineering Center (SEC) will be the lead CECOM organization during the exercise.
