The U.S Army Medical Department School and Center Academy Brigade (Provisional) collected over 700 needed items the Crisis Center of Comal County in support of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Sgt. First Class Terreill D. Demonia, the Academy Brigade Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), led the donation drive that first started with two boxes but soon expanded to a pallet of much needed items for the crisis center.

"We collected personal hygiene items, clothes, shoes, backpacks, cleaning supplies, and more." Said Sgt. First Class Demonia. "They (crisis center) needed normal household items, the type of things we all use at home. We put out the call Brigade wide, and our Soldiers responded."

COL Scott Drennon, Academy Brigade Commander, informed the audience of the many similarities between the Army's program to combat Sexual Assault and those of our civilian partners like Comal County and the need to work together bridging gaps for the good of our Soldiers and civilians alike.
