REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (March 18, 2016) -- Acting secretary of the Army, Honorable Patrick Murphy, and Honorable Katrina McFarland, acting assistant secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology and Army acquisition executive, made visits to Redstone Arsenal March 18.

During their visits, the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command's U.S. Army Redstone Test Center, or RTC, hosted the VIPs for flights with experienced test pilots.

Murphy flew in the AH-64E Apache, and he visited RTC's Test Area 1 and fired a Javelin missile. McFarland flew in the AH-64E Apache and the UH-60m Black Hawk.

"We were honored to have Army executives of this caliber visit our hanger and fly with our test pilots," said Col. Patrick Mason, RTC commander. "We appreciate their support as we work together to keep the American warfighter well prepared for battle."
