PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. -- Lt. Col. Larry Dring, PM Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS), Product Director Non-Standard Ammunition, visited Blue Grass Army Depot in east central Kentucky on Nov. 19 to see the Non-Standard Ammunition (NSA) capabilities and services the installation provides.
The Kentucky depot has requested a designation as the NSA Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence.
The depot has NSA subject matter expertise and has the core capabilities necessary to provide Non-Standard munitions industrial operations, depot-level maintenance and surveillance.
Dring and John Woods, PD NSA Lead Engineer, traveled to the depot to meet BGAD's commander Col. Tim Lee and his NSA staff.
Blue Grass Army Depot has been a key player in helping PD NSA re-supply Non-standard munitions to continental United States training operations, as well as U.S. and allied forces conducting overseas contingency operations.
PM-MAS is part of the Program Executive Office for Ammunition' at Picatinny Arsenal.
