GRAFENWOEHR, Germany -- The Conflict Kinetics Gunfighter Gym opened Aug. 12, 2015, on Camp Aachen, for all U.S. Soldiers and our North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies.

Conflict Kinetics (CK) aims to improvement combat readiness through individual and squad level development using a new approach to replicating the physical and visual challenges of combat. CK has created a program defined as Synthetic Marksmanship Training, which is a different approach to using simulation.

"CK Gunfighter Gym effectively trains shooter mechanics, shooting on the move, rifle and pistol fundamentals, cognitive agility and close quarters combat via a patented human performance pro sports based process. In a very short time period you will see increased results. Our rich metric collection gives Commanders the feedback on each soldier as well as trend analysis. The scoring challenges individual soldiers against themselves and their individual best; as well as against their Squad, Group and Battalion." Said Allison B. Rubin, the executive vice president of business development for Conflict Kinetics.

Conflict Kinetics has full Gunfighter Gyms set up on both Grafenwoehr and Baumholder.

With a throughput of approximately, 20-25 soldiers per 90 minutes, the Gunfighter Gym has the ability to train 160 soldiers a day, and more with larger facilities. These gyms can be set up in any light controlled building, however the bigger the building, the higher the throughput.

The systems have the ability to track the data of 120 consecutive shooters. Currently the Grafenwoehr Gym is averaging over 10,000 shots per Day.

"The addition of this facility expands our ability to train our Soldiers and our Allies," said Antonio R. Reyes, the operations division chief for Training Support Activity Europe. "It blends in perfectly to our training mission and expands our already tremendous training capabilities."

"CK increases precise lethality and survivability by decreasing target engagement time and transition time," said Rubin. "In addition, our program reduces fratricide and minimizes collateral damage through development of the individual's neuromotor pathways and motor skills (eye to brain to body/ trigger finger)."

"This is the best marksmanship training I have had in my 23 years of service," said Sgt. 1st Class Jason Smith. "It gives real world experience and works on all the mechanics of shooting."

Units interested in using this facility can schedule training through their local Training Support Center and the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS).
