FORT HOOD, Texas - The 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division held an M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle range July 28 here.

The range qualified individual Bradley crews in order to maintain and increase the unit's readiness while they are assigned as a part of the global response force.

The unit can be called upon at any time to rapidly deploy from Fort Hood to any location around the world.

"You can't really do anything if you're not properly qualified on your weapon systems," said 1st Lt. Kyle Neuman, a Coronado, California, native and executive officer with Company B, 2-7 Cav. "Since this is our highest casualty producing weapon system as a mechanized infantry company, it's really important to train on it."
