Lt. Gen. David Halverson, U.S. Army Installation Management Command Commanding General, took some time to speak to White Sands Missile Ranger school-age children during his visit to the Middle School and Teen Center Jan. 27. Halverson and Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey Hartless, U.S. Army Installation Management Command, toured several facilities on post and met with key leaders to get a feel for what WSMR does and help address any concerns.

During his visit at the Center, Halverson presented Natalie Garley, Middle School and Teen Center director, and Marina Lenzner, WSMR Program Operation Specialist, with a coin. Lenzner said the award was a group effort from the entire organization and the coin will be framed and displayed.

Halverson also made a stop at WSMR's Environmental Office to congratulate the Qualified Recycle Program on the implementation of a successful program.
