FORT SILL, Okla. (Jan. 29, 2015) -- The Fort Sill Patriot Spouses' Club will hold it biggest fundraiser of the year -- the Casino Royale Gala Jan. 31 (Saturday) from 6-11 p.m. at the Patriot Club.

The event will feature a live band, dancing, silent and live auctions, gaming, gourmet food stations and a cash bar. The James Bond-themed fundraiser is open to the public for adults 18 years and older. All proceeds benefit the PSC scholarship and grant funds.

"We have put all our resources into this to make it bigger and better," said Christen Stasevich, PSC president. "We would love to have you here."

The non-profit PSC typically gives $12,000 in scholarship and grant funds each year to Fort Sill spouses and family members to assist them with their educational pursuits. It awards scholarships in three areas: high school seniors, college students, and military spouses.

The band will be Straight Shooter from Yukon, Okla. The popular band is equally at home playing country music or classic rock, according to its website. The award winning band has toured Europe, Japan and Australia. They have also performed three times at the Oklahoma governor's mansion in the past year.

Gaming will include blackjack and poker in the Artillery Room, which is in the upstairs of the Patriot Club. The volunteer dealers, which include Soldiers, were trained by Fort Sill Apache Casino staff, the president said. All winnings can be redeemed in the General Store, which will feature prizes and merchandise.

Attendees can bid on themed-baskets during the live auction. The baskets were created by battalion, brigades and groups on and off post. Some of the prizes include an overnight stay in Dallas, with tickets to a Rangers' game, a fishing trip and a leather recliner, tires, gift cards, and much more, Stasevich said.

In the silent auction, potential bidders can peruse the items and see what the current bids are.

Advance tickets cost $30; or $40 at the door. The prices includes $20 worth of gaming chips. For tickets or more information, visit www.fortsillpsc.org or call 580-442-5300.
