Our Mission

The 99th Regional Support Command Inspector General mission is to enhance mission readiness, serve as the confidential fact finder to the commanding general, and report the state of the economy, efficiency, discipline, morale and readiness of assigned and attached units and activities. The IG acts as the CG's eyes, ears, voice and conscience. The IG conducts four major functions: provide assistance, conduct investigations, conduct inspections, and teach and train. The core of our functionality, teaching and training, encompasses all three functions, Army standards, regulations and policies.

Area of Responsibility

The 99th IG Office provides the assistance function to Soldiers, family members, Department of the Army civilians, retirees, and in some cases, contractors in the Northeast region, which consists of 13 states (VA, WV, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY, RI, CT, MA, NH, VT, ME) and the District of Columbia. We conduct inspections and investigations within the 99th RSC command structure, which includes the HQ, 99th RSC, and its downtrace units, the bands and press camp headquarters and their assigned public affairs detachments. If we receive allegations from outside the 99th RSC command and its downtrace, we will refer the allegation to the appropriate IG office.
