PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. (December 29, 2014)--Two Picatinny employees received the Commander's Award for Civilian Service Dec. 8 from John Hedderich, Acting Director of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC).

Michael Donadio, a senior mechanical engineer, and Matthew Sussman, a lead electronics engineer, received awards for their success in developing the instrumentations used of novel primers and NexGen Kinetic Energy penetrator programs. Donadio and Sussman are from the Munitions Engineering and Technology Center, an organization under ARDEC.

The Commander's Award for Civilian Service recognizes the performance of duties in an outstanding manner, demonstrating initiative, skill and leadership, courage or favorable local publicity. As recipients, Donadio and Sussman received a certificate as well as a pin.

In addition, Lucille Trimarchi, a human resource officer at the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, was recognized for her 35 years of civilian service with a Senior Executive Service note.

"Government service is an honorable profession and you have served honorably," said Hedderich. "Best wishes to you in all your future endeavors."
