TOBYHANNA ARMY DEPOT, Pa. -- Electrician Dave Lyons installs the wiring harnesses for the environmental control unit during the rough wire install stage of an AN/ASM-146 overhaul.
Lyons is a member of the Tobyhanna Army Depot's Electronic Shelter System Branch. Electricians and sheet metal mechanics upgrade and assemble new build and overhaul AN/ASM-146 and 147 Electronics Shop Vans.
Personnel perform duties such as installing environmental control unit frames, rivnuts for signal and entrance panels, floor plates, storage racks and lighting systems, and applying touch up paint where necessary.
The AN/ASM-146 is a field maintenance shelter used to make repairs on military equipment. The AN/ASM-147 is a mobile storage facility used by Soldiers in the field.
The branch is part of the depot's Systems Integration and Support Directorate.
