ANSBACH, Germany (Dec. 4, 2014) -- The USAG Ansbach Family and MWR Sports and Fitness Program holds a weight training program and competition during the new year.

Beginning Jan. 16, 2015, at the Katterbach Fitness Center, the 2015 1000 Pounds and 500 Pounds Club Weight Training Program/Competition is open to U.S. ID card holders 18 years and older and out of high school.

The purpose of the program is to improve participants' physical capabilities through a challenging exercise regiment to advance strength, condition and aesthetic appearance. The program is free to all aspiring participants. Each competitor signs a waiver upon start of the competition. The contestant makes their appointment with the staff members when all parties are available.

A letter of intent will be available at Katterbach Fitness Center beginning Dec. 15. T-shirts will be awarded to each club member. Commander's Cup points will be rewarded to each individual unit.
