FORT SAM HOUSTON, TX. - The US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Chief of Staff, Uldric L. Fiore Jr., presented the Kenneth C. Raymer Memorial Award to Cathleen Salas on Oct. 2. This is the first time a MEDCOM staff member has received this prestigious award.

The Kenneth C. Raymer Memorial Award is an annual award presented to a Foreign Disclosure Officer who best exemplifies the attributes of expertise, professionalism and devotion to duty that is essential in providing Army commands with clear, concise, responsive and accurate value-added support. The award is open to all U.S. Army Foreign Disclosure Officers serving within an Army organization or command.

This is the 13th annual presentation of the Army-wide recognition. The Kenneth C. Raymer Memorial Award is a tribute to its namesake who was a Foreign Disclosure Officer and is credited with many of the policies and oversight of the program.

Mr. Raymer worked for more than 30 years as an intelligence officer.
