WARREN, Mich. -- The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command announced the formation of a new Army-SE Michigan Advisory Council, a group of 13 trusted advisors. The council members reflect a broad range of stakeholder views and backgrounds, representing industrial, business, educational, non-profit and community leadership.

As the state's only active duty installation, the U.S. Army TACOM LCMC must actively seek out and listen to the voice of the American public while continuing to tell the Army's story.

"The TACOM LCMC wants to ensure that it understands and is sensitive to the needs of the American public -- our primary stakeholders," said Maj. Gen. Michael J. Terry, TACOM commanding general. "The council will provide valuable advice as the Army develops policies and strategies for future."

Council members are as follows:

Dr. Jay Baron, Ann Arbor; Stephanie Bergeron, Troy; Tammy Carnrike, Detroit; Melonie Colaianne, Taylor; Bud Denker, Bloomfield Hills; Carol Goss, Detroit; Mark Hackel, Macomb; Rich Homberg, Wixom; former Congressman Joseph Knollenberg, Novi; Bruce MacDonald, Troy; Charles "Chip" McClure, Bloomfield Hills; Jim Mitchell, Southfield; Daniel Ponder, Detroit; Paul Traub, Detroit.

Council members will serve without compensation. Members, who are invited to serve by the U.S. Army TACOM LCMC commanding general, serve two year terms and their appointments may be renewed. The council will meet approximately four times annually. The first meeting was May 20.
