YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea (April 26, 2013) -- The Eighth Army commanding general thanked Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital emergency personnel for their prompt and professional response after a recent helicopter hard landing.

Eighth Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. John D. Johnson saluted the Army medical personnel for their "outstanding service" during an April 26 formation in front of the hospital.

The hospital treated 21 U.S. service members following the hard landing of U.S. Marine Corps CH-53, April 16.

"You all did a fantastic job of quickly transitioning from your day-to-day operations to providing emergency care," said Johnson. "This was clearly a very well rehearsed operation and I was impressed with the teamwork that you displayed."

Johnson singled out Capt. Brian Cashin, Sgt. Bobby Hunt, Sgt. Crystal Maguire and Spc. Brandon Kim for the efforts during the emergency response.

"We are Army Strong because we have people like you," said Johnson.

The Eighth Army commanding general also thanked the hospital staff for the "world class" health care they provide to U.S. service members, civilian employees and family members on a daily basis.

"The Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital is an important part of this community and this alliance," said Johnson, "because it demonstrates our daily commitment to our military's most precious resource … the men and women who choose to serve our nation."
