SEOUL - The Eighth Army Band will perform a holiday concert with the Prima Donna Ensemble at the Seoul Performing Arts Center, South Korea's premier venue, Dec. 9.

Holiday Concert Master of Ceremonies Sgt. Steven Lah said it was an honor to perform at such a prestigious venue, Korea's Carnegie Hall.

"It's the opportunity of a lifetime to play at such a beautiful place in such a beautiful country," said Lah, a vocalist and tuba player in the Eighth Army Band.

Lah said the Eighth Army Band has been practicing for the holiday concert since October and will play many holiday favorites, including a holiday-inspired Broadway melody, a Christmas melody and special version of Silent Night.

"We play a lot of important gigs around Korea throughout the year but this is the culminating event," said Lah, a native of Hibbing, Minn.

The popular holiday event is open to the public.

Those interested in attending the concert should contact Eighth Army G9 at DSN 723-5074 or 010-9094-4097.
