Army National Guard Soldiers from Wisconsin, Georgia, and eight other states comprising the U.S. component of KFOR 15 recently completed a Mission Readiness Exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany. The 21-day exercise incorporated training for Liaison Monitoring Teams, civil disturbance response, and joint patrols- critical elements of KFOR's mission to support a safe and secure environment in Kosovo. Observer/Controller-Trainers from JMRC travelled to Kosovo twice prior to the rotation in order to ensure the training environment closely replicated current conditions on the ground. JMRC provides one of the few environments where Soldiers can work closely with multinational partner units- often the same units with whom they will deploy.
