The Army is a Profession of Arms - an all-volunteer force of the best and brightest professionals who have adapted and risen to the occasion each time called upon in support of our nation during the past 235 years.
At Fort Benning, we play a key role in preparing the Army's Soldiers and leaders, training 145,000 annually. We take every-day civilians through a tough and rigorous 10-week journey as they learn about the seven Army Values, the Warrior Ethos, how to work as a team and succeed as a Soldier in today's U.S. Army.
As someone who has served in our Army for 25 years, I can tell you - get ready for the ride of your life! The Army experience can be tough and challenging but extremely rewarding - a commitment and a lifestyle second to none!
If you have questions about this Army journey, mark your calendars to participate in the Ask a Drill Sergeant discussion on Fort Benning's Facebook Fan Page from 6-8:30 p.m. April 21. Drill Sergeant's (also called Cadre) from two training units at Fort Benning - the 192nd and 198th Infantry Brigades - will answer questions.
