Fort Hood's New Wounded Warrior Fitness Facility Opens
FORT HOOD, Sept. 23, 2010)--Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held Sept. 23 for the new Fort Hood Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB) fitness facility. Along with fitness balls and hand weights, the new fitness center also includes elliptical machines that can be adapted to accommodate for a Soldier's physical injuries. USO donated $48,000 toward the facility, which was formerly an office space building. The new fitness center provides the WTB's wounded and injured Soldiers with a dedicated workout facility. Helping open the facility are from left Robin Crouse, Fort Hood USO director; Spec. Jantzen Frazier, a 5-time Purple Heart recipient; and Col. Paul Hossenlopp, WTB commander.
